Who measures all this

A small, independent desk team with a tape measure, a habit of tracing outlines on paper and a strong dislike of wasted centimetres.

What we do

Browserumbleindexchoi is an independent guide for remote workers and students who work on very little desk. We write about the gadgets that make a small desk workable, and we judge each one by a single question: how much surface does it give back?

How the stamps are calculated

Every stamp on this site shows the typical desk area an item stops using, in square centimetres. We take the item's typical footprint (width × depth of the part touching the desk), compare it with the thing it replaces, and subtract. Our reference desk is 100 × 50 cm, or 5,000 cm². Figures use common published product dimensions and our own tape-measure checks, so treat them as estimates and re-measure your own gear.

Independence

We do not sell products and we do not take payment to rank or mention an item. If that ever changes, we will say so on the page where it applies.

Corrections

Measurements go wrong, standards get revised and products change. If you spot an error, tell us through the contact page and we will correct it and note the change.
